SINOPSIS
The topics that are considered in the book have been distributed
in chapters, assigning to each one a different and specific topic,
settling, however, along the text the corresponding correlations to
the studied matter.
The different chapters of the book develope in a general and complete
way the wide field that might be understood under the title of Physics
of Aerosols. First,
besides statistical aspects for the study of particles, are considered
Kinetic Theory of Gases where particles are distributed forming aerosols,
together with diverse
phenomena of mechanical character that there occur as dynamics and
diffusion of particles, their clotting and events of phoretic type.
Because of its importance is also
considered the aerosol constituted by liquid particles. The electric,
radioactive and optic aspects , with great incidence into the processes
relative to Physics of
Aerosols are contemplated likewise. The group of topics is completed
with two chapters concerning industrial aspects as they are aerosols
and their incidence in work places and the equipments and processes
for particles retention or gases purification. Lately are devoted
two chapters to characterization and controlled generation of aerosols.
The form of developing chapters has consisted on general and basic
theoretical descriptions completed with specific analysis concerning
concrete points of each topic. This book contains at all no original
research, it is an attempt to synthesize into a single volume, long
but readable and comprehensive, the most remarkable aspects concerning
this enormeous theme. The bibliography that affects to each chapter,
incorporated in the end of each one, picks up not only the cited references
in the text but many other in order to provide the reader complementary
information to facilitate later works in depth.
